Before your appointment
Clear expectations. A smoother appointment.
Everything you need to know before submitting an Ile Ewa appointment request.
01Appointment requests
Submitting a request does not immediately confirm the appointment. Every request is reviewed first, and confirmation follows once the service details and availability have been checked. Until then the appointment is held as pending, and you will be contacted if anything needs clarifying before it can be accepted.
02Deposit
A 25% deposit is required to request an appointment, and it comes off the total on the day. The deposit is non-refundable unless Ile Ewa cancels the appointment, in which case it is refunded in full. The remaining balance is settled at the end of your appointment.
03Style details
Bring a clear reference for your preferred style, colour, length and finish. If you are unsure which service fits your idea, choose the closest option and include the details with your request.
04How long it takes
The time shown against a service is an estimate, not a fixed figure. It has been worked out from previous client appointments and can vary with hair type, length, density and the finish you choose. Please treat it as a guide when planning your day rather than a guaranteed finish time.
05Hair for your appointment
Please bring pre-stretched braiding hair only. Hair that has not been pre-stretched adds significant time to the appointment and affects how the finished style sits. If you would rather Ile Ewa bought your hair for you, say so in the notes when you book — you will be sent a price to approve before your appointment, and the cost is added to your balance on the day.
06Start times for extensions
Any braided style using extensions must be booked to start at 9am or earlier. These appointments run long, and a later start does not leave enough time to complete the style to the standard it should be. Later slots are kept for shorter services.
07Rescheduling
Moving an appointment needs at least 48 hours’ notice, and any new date is subject to availability. Inside 48 hours, get in touch as early as you can — it will be looked at, but the deposit is not guaranteed to carry over.
08Cancellations and no-shows
If you can no longer make an appointment, contact Ile Ewa rather than leaving it. A no-show, or a cancellation outside the notice period, forfeits the deposit.
09Late arrival
The first 10 minutes after your start time are a grace period, and nothing is charged. Past that, a £5 fee applies for every 10 minutes you are late, and a longer delay may mean the style has to be adjusted to fit the time still available, or rebooked altogether.
10Arrival and preparation
Come with your hair washed and fully dried, and taken out of any previous style, unless you have been told otherwise. Any preparation specific to your style is shared when the appointment is confirmed. Arriving prepared protects the time reserved for your service.
11Coming to your appointment
Please come to your appointment on your own. The space is set up for one client at a time, so guests, friends and children cannot be accommodated. If this is a problem for your appointment, get in touch before you book.
12Custom styles
A style without a set price is quoted before it can be booked. Send your reference through and, once the price is agreed, you will be pointed to the right booking option so the correct deposit applies.
